Black & Yellow - Cris Cab Cover

Cris Cab has become a really exciting musician to watch over the past few weeks. He is only 17 and he is already making a splash in the reggae/pop industry. He recently released an EP that is available on Itunes called "Foreword" so buy that. Here is one of my favorite songs by him so check it out. The original song is by Wiz Khalifa but Mr. Cab does a good job adding his own twist on the song.

I know it is a few days late but here it is.

Kam Royal: Sophomore of the Year!

Below is a recent interview, via email, with up and coming rapper Kam Royal:

1. So what inspired you to become a rapper?

Well I always loved to rap, so when I sent out my first song to a blog last and then people liked it, thats what really sparked it. The more I worked on music seriously the more I loved it and it developed into a passion.

2. Who are your biggest role models in terms of style, flow, and your music in general?

Well when it comes to my musical influences, thats a much wider spectrum of music I listen to than just rappers. As for the rappers with the biggest influence on my style and flow I'd have to say Jay-Z, Ludacris, Tech Nine, Big L, Notorious BIG, J Cole, Dom Kennedy, Drake

3. How long have you been seriously rapping and How have the fans and haters out there influenced your style?

Since last summer, July or August can't recall which. And no offense, but my fans and "haters" have no influence on my style. While its nice when people like something, I always make the music I feel like making. Thats not to say I dont appreciate constructive criticism, I do. But I don't really pay attention to the comments people make on youtube or on blogs.

4. Which of your songs from your newest mixtape or in general, do you think express you the best? Why?

A Feel Good Track. I really have a feel good personality and I try to make feel good music. Like I say in the intro, it actually was raining and Miles (Felix Beats) and I were like "lets make a feel good track" so we did. I really like that song, probably my favorite off Vindicated because its so true to me.

5. What was the first rap you ever wrote? Do you have any big plans for this year?

I wrote it in 5th grade after my brother Simon (shout out Simon who just turned 19 yesterday) wrote a rap. I actually still have that rhyme book. I'm not gonna tell yall how it started but I was on some different sounding ish back then haha. And yeah my plans are to drop at least two mixtapes by the end of the year and do a bunch of show.

6. What messages are you trying to convey to your fans through your music?
Do you. Be yourself. Never apologize for that.

Luke Christopher - Social Network

This song came out a few weeks ago, and immediately was one of my favorites. Luke Christopher, used to be known as C.O.L.O.R., is a 17 year old rapper who has his own unique flow and style. Luke Christopher hits this song perfectly using the piano rolls from the actual movie "Social Network". This song is worth a download for sure.

Should I make this an actual website and not just a blog?

Hey guys, I was just asking for some input on whether or not I should buy the actual domain and make this a real website and not just a blog. Please let me know on my Facebook group The HYPEmaster. Any input is appreciated.

This just came out recently and seems to me as a pretty well directed music video with the lyrical genius Lupe Fiasco. Check out his stuff on Itunes

Benny Benassi - Spaceship ft Kelis

Here's another oldish song but is still sick and will never get old for me.

Spacechip Ft. Kelis

Silver Medallion - Slave (The Girls Can Hear Us Remix) & My Dream

I know that this song is kind of old but, for those that have not heard of this song or Silver Medallion, they are a chill group that makes some sick bangers. This song largely features the musical genius of the group "The Girls Can Hear us". Check out Silver Medallion on Itunes. Also, check out their song "My Dream" below.

Champion (Remix) - Chipmunk ft. Chris Brown & J. Cole

That Ain't Classy - Classified

Here is a new song that was just shown to me by a friend that has become an instant favorite. That Ain't Classy by Classified has hit a new level of chill with a cool beat. This song is pretty good at pumping me up so why not try it out and take it for a spin. Check out some more of Classified's work here.

Now some of you may be wondering why I am only just putting this up now, and my answer to that is because this song is sick... and it is dubstep so why not? Also on a side not make sure to check out Ellie Goulding at some point!

Macklemore who is usually associated with Ryan Lewis, is a young white talent from Seattle, Washington which is a place I don't usually hear much music from. But with that said, here is this beauty.
